It’s going to require tax increases, spending cuts, and compromise, compromise, compromise. Time for them to put on their big boy pants and get the job done.
I think a return to the Clinton-era tax levels would be fine. Republicans should make a deal restricting the additional revenue attained from those taxes – ensuring it only goes to the debt until the debt is paid off. That’s the deal they can make now. That’s their offer. That’s their play.
So are they going to shut up and deal or what?
